On to plan D...

The docs have been experimenting trying to get Bennett off the CPAP. Nothing seems to be working. Wednesday morning they did an unofficial test where they took everything off for 15 mins to see how he did with no help at all. He did fine. So Thursday, they ordered for him to spend 3 hours off on room air. He desated left and right. So, NOW the plan is for him to spend 3 hours on nasal canula with 1/2 liter of flow and no more than 30% O2. He has done ok with that, but by the end of the 3 hours, he's very tired from working so hard to keep his sats up. They hope this cycling will help gradually train him to do it all on his own. We shall see!!

Here is Bennett during his alert period, which conveniently happens to be around midnight. Yikes!

We have a picture of Melissa holding baby Carter the exact same way!

Yesterday, Carter and I went and bought a baby bathtub, bottles, diapers and wipes!! We're hoping our optimism will inspire him to come home soon!!!

I am praying hard that this cycling helps Bennett learn to do everything on his own! He will get there!!! And I love the pictures as always- especially the second one! Awww! I also love that we have a pic of me holding Bennett that matches the pic of me holding Carter. That means so much to me! I LOVED visiting with you and Bennett on Thursday! We were able to have some funny moments- that positive energy is good for Bennett too!!! :o) Love you all!
