You know how it goes....two steps forward, one step back....
So things HAD gotten better with the Prevacid, a whole lot better. And then all of a sudden, they've gotten a WHOLE lot worse. Bennett flat out refuses to eat these days. He pierces his lips together and won't open them, and thrashes his head side to side. We literally have to force feed him :( Its not pretty people... There are many tears shed by both parties in this endeavor. The only time he will voluntarily eat is if he's fallen into light sleep. Of course, he eventually falls into deep sleep and stops eating, which means he never takes in enough.
The culprit? Your guess is as good as mine. Prevacid isn't like the other drugs - they don't develop resistance to it. But, if the medicine has been mixed long enough, it can lose effectiveness. I ordered another refill and will pick it up tomorrow. If he's all of a sudden better again, we've found the problem.
But then there is this other small matter called teething. Reflux + Teething = HELL. I kid you not.... Bennett has a small part of his very first tooth popping through his gums and is drooling up a storm and chewing on his hands constantly.
If its not one thing, its another with the kid, huh? But darn he's cute!
And he's getting so big! Look at how he fills up his Moses basket!! AND he's wearing a size 3-6 month outfit here!!!
And he's a smartie pants too - look he's already reading Fortune with daddy and training to become the next CEO/President of Custodio Asset Management!! (we were hanging our hopes on Carter, but he's professed a desire to either become a planter or a zoo keeper when he grows up).
Yep, he's a fiesty one too! The proof:
I just love this picture - it cracks me up!!!

Oh my gosh, this post was hysterical (minus the B not eating part...I hope the refill solves that!). Hold out hope...my brother wanted to be "a football player or a ballerina" when he was Carter's age--and now he is the CTO of an international company...meanwhile, I wanted to be the CEO of Nike, and here I am, a small town attorney--I probably would have done better as a ballerina!
I love the pictures in this post. Your boys are so adorable. I hope that the refill solves the reflux problem.
Ok that last picture has me in hysterics! I am sorry to hear that Bennett's feedings have taken a step back- I'm praying that the refill helps solve the problem! Oh Bennett!
Such a roller coaster ride you are on! Bennett will come back around. Continued thoughts and prayers are coming your way!
i just don't know who Bailee is going to have to marry now - Elijah or Carter!!!! CEO or possible prophet - hard decision!lol!!!!
either way, as long as she marries one of them then I'm happy lol!
