We don't have a whole lot to report here. Bennett is doing really well still on the cannula. The only changes to his care has been to increase his feedings to 43 mls. He's still taking about 75% of his feedings by bottle - still not a ball of fire. He was 5 lbs 5 oz last night. The plan remains to keep him on the cannula until he gets his act together and starts eating well, then weaning him off. A new neonatologist comes in service Monday (don' know who yet). His current doc seems to think they will have him around for another two weeks.

His nurses hung a cute mobile on his crib to stimulate him during his wake periods. He really likes it! This is him captivated this afternoon:

Oh, he is just so sweet!!! I love his little noises, and how he turns towards Ace's gentle touch.
It's so hard to believe we had the same due date (a year apart) and now look at how old our kids are--Alex turns one tomorrow and Bennett is already 7.5 weeks!!!
I cannot wait to talk with you again...maybe once this crazy birthday/baptism weekend is over! Love you!
